Foodborne Disease Surveillance in Ethiopia

The PIONEER project aims to co-create a national, integrated foodborne disease (FBD) surveillance system in Ethiopia, in collaboration with key stakeholders. It utilises state-of-the-art genomic methods for pathogen identification and chemical methods to provide timely and actionable data on FBDs — supporting food safety and evidence-based decision making.
